The idea of Dance Now Cry Later was derived from the creative and emotional lifestyles of an artist. Artists have the capabilities to transform their emotions into an artistic expression to share their story with the world.
Here is a snippet of our "Dancing From Darkness" process. The mental health of Black Women in America is declining. WE, US, YOU, the Community needs to realize that even though we are strong, we need support.
The concept is based on how we as women of color have to work 5xs as hard to be better than the average white Male in America.
Just exploring THe feels and allowing the music to guide the framework. Thank you to everyone who organized and participated in class!
In addition to dance we also help individuals build sensory awareness skills that are transferable to overcome obstacles in their personal lives and prepare them for the professional world. Our dance company is a collective of local artist who come together to perform at various showcasing their passion of dance

The original solo developed into an interesting body conversation in which I began to think about ways to create different stories. Unfortunately this piece never made it to the stage but here is a compilation of rehearsal videos and thought processes.
This is a short snippet of my #DanceLifeinChina at Capital Normal University. I am truly grateful to have had this opportunity to Assistant teach in China alongside the amazing Duane Cyrus. This was an exercise in which Duane taught a phrase to the entire class and assigned each of the T.As a specific style to improvise with and create a phrase to teach. This method allowed the students to to not only view different styles but learn different methods of teaching.
